Applies to consumer purchases, bookings and interactions across the HUSL ecosystem · HUSL App Pty Ltd (ABN 26 645 218 364)

Our Disclosures — key points before you use the Services
- These Terms apply when you purchase products from HUSL, use a HUSL-operated website, make a booking through HUSL, purchase from or interact with a participating hairdresser through HUSL, receive HUSL receipts or communications, or use other HUSL consumer features.
- Where a product or service is sold directly to you by a participating hairdresser or salon, your contract for that product or service is with that hairdresser or salon, not HUSL, unless HUSL is identified as the seller on the relevant checkout, order confirmation or invoice.
- We may cancel an accepted product order before delivery where reasonably necessary, including where we cannot supply the product, there is a material pricing or listing error, or circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent supply. Any refund will be provided as required by law.
- A participating hairdresser may receive a commission or other benefit where you purchase HUSL products or products supplied through HUSL.
- AI-enabled features can make mistakes. AI outputs are assistance only and must not be treated as guaranteed, complete or professional advice. You should independently check important information.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited as described below and we exclude liability for consequential loss. These limitations do not exclude non-excludable consumer guarantees.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Introduction and acceptance
These Terms are between HUSL App Pty Ltd (ABN 26 645 218 364) (we, us or our) and you. They apply to HUSL-operated websites and consumer services, including huslbeauty.com, husl.io, unwritten.hair and other websites or consumer experiences we operate from time to time, together with online booking, marketplace, receipts, communications, ecommerce and AI-enabled consumer features (Site or Services).
You accept these Terms by creating an account, placing an order, making or managing a booking, using a HUSL consumer Service, clicking to accept these Terms, or otherwise using a feature that states it is subject to these Terms. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or place an order unless a higher age is required by law.
2. Acceptable use
- You must not use the Services unlawfully, fraudulently, to harass or harm another person, to infringe privacy or intellectual property rights, to introduce malicious code, to interfere with another user, or to scrape or extract data except where permitted by law or by us.
- You must not upload or submit private, personal or confidential information about another person unless you are authorised to do so.
- You must not attempt to bypass security controls, reverse engineer restricted functionality or use automated tools in a way that materially burdens the Services.
3. Accounts and communications
You may be able to purchase without an account or may create an account to access order history, bookings and other features. You must provide accurate and current information and keep login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our breach or security failure.
You consent to receiving transactional email, SMS, push or in-account messages reasonably necessary for bookings, orders, receipts, security, support and operation of the Services. Where permitted by law, we may also send marketing communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications using the mechanism provided, although you may continue to receive necessary service messages.
4. Orders for products sold by HUSL
Products may be ordered through the Site or other HUSL checkout experiences. By submitting an order, you offer to purchase the products at the displayed price plus any delivery charges, taxes or other charges shown before payment. A binding contract is formed when we accept the order. We may accept or reject an order in our discretion where lawful to do so.
You are responsible for checking product, quantity, delivery and payment details before submitting an order. Orders are subject to availability. We may correct genuine pricing, description, image or availability errors and may cancel an affected order before delivery. If we cancel an order after payment, we will provide the refund or other remedy required by law.
5. Purchases and services from participating hairdressers
HUSL enables participating hairdressers and salons (Partner Hairdressers) to use HUSL for bookings, POS transactions, receipts, ecommerce and other interactions with clients. The seller or service provider will be identified by the relevant transaction, invoice, receipt or booking context.
Where you purchase goods or services directly from a Partner Hairdresser, the contract is between you and that Partner Hairdresser. The Partner Hairdresser is responsible for supplying those goods or services, its professional services, any applicable cancellation or salon policies and customer service for that transaction. HUSL is not a party to that contract merely because HUSL software, payments, receipts or communications are used to facilitate it.
If a transaction includes both HUSL-supplied products and Partner Hairdresser goods or services, separate contractual relationships may apply and separate receipts or invoices may be issued. A Partner Hairdresser may receive a commission, referral benefit or other benefit from HUSL in connection with purchases made by linked customers.
6. Price and payment
Prices are displayed before you confirm a transaction. Unless stated otherwise, Australian consumer prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. You must use an authorised and lawful payment method. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers and may be subject to their terms. HUSL does not generally store full payment card details.
From time to time we may offer promotional codes, bundles, discounts or package protection on stated conditions. Promotional conditions shown at the time form part of these Terms for the relevant transaction. Where package protection is offered and selected, the specific cover and claim requirements shown at checkout apply.
7. Delivery, title and risk
For products sold by HUSL, delivery areas, charges and estimated dispatch or delivery times are shown through the Services. Delivery times are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise. You must provide an accurate delivery address. Where permitted, a carrier may leave a parcel at the delivery address if no recipient is present.
Title to products sold by HUSL passes when the purchase price is paid in full. Subject to the Australian Consumer Law and any agreed package protection, risk passes when the products are delivered to the delivery address you supplied.
8. Returns and the Australian Consumer Law
HUSL currently offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for HUSL-sold products from the date you receive the goods, in addition to rights that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law. To request a return, contact us at help@unwritten.hair. Conditions stated at the time of purchase may apply to change-of-mind returns, bundles, hygiene-sensitive products and return shipping.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you have a valid claim under the Australian Consumer Law, we will provide the remedy required by law, which may include repair, replacement, refund and reimbursement of reasonable return costs depending on the circumstances.
9. AI-enabled features
Some Services include artificial intelligence or machine-learning features (AI Features), including conversational assistance, content generation, summaries, recommendations, image analysis or generation, search and categorisation. AI Features may be provided using third-party AI service providers.
9.1 Your AI inputs
You may choose to provide prompts, text, images, photographs, files, audio or other information to an AI Feature (AI Input). You retain any rights you hold in your AI Input. You grant HUSL the limited rights reasonably necessary to host, copy, transmit, process and use the AI Input to provide, secure, support and operate the AI Feature and the Services, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
You must have the right to provide AI Input. You must not submit another person’s private, confidential, copyrighted or sensitive information unless you are authorised to do so and have any consent required by law.
9.2 AI outputs and mistakes
AI Features may generate text, images, recommendations, classifications, summaries or other material (AI Output). AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, unsuitable or offensive results and may generate similar output for different users. HUSL does not guarantee the accuracy, uniqueness, completeness, availability or suitability of AI Output.
AI Output is provided as assistance only. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying it before relying on it. Do not rely solely on AI Output for medical, health, legal, financial, safety-critical or other professional decisions. In particular, product, chemical, allergy or hair-service information should be checked against manufacturer instructions, professional advice and your own circumstances.
9.3 AI data handling
Information submitted to AI Features may be processed by HUSL and AI service providers and may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy. HUSL does not use personal information submitted through HUSL AI Features to train general-purpose AI models. We may use aggregated or de-identified operational information to measure, secure and improve the Services.
10. Intellectual property and user content
HUSL and its licensors own the intellectual property in the Services, software, branding, content and features we provide, excluding content owned by users or third parties. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable right to use the Services for their intended consumer purpose.
If you upload reviews, images, feedback or other content to a part of the Services intended for publishing or sharing, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt and display that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the relevant Service, subject to our Privacy Policy and any settings we make available. You must have the rights necessary to provide that content.
11. Third-party services and links
The Services may contain links or integrations with third-party services. We may receive a referral fee, commission or other benefit from some third parties. Third-party products and services are governed by the relevant third party’s terms. We are not responsible for third-party services except to the extent required by law.
12. Liability
Nothing in this clause excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, HUSL is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, anticipated savings, reputation, use or data arising from the Services, a Partner Hairdresser transaction, a third-party service or AI Output.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, where our liability can lawfully be limited, our aggregate liability in connection with a product transaction is limited to the amount paid to HUSL for the product giving rise to the claim. We are not liable to the extent loss is caused or contributed to by your act or omission, a Partner Hairdresser, a third party, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. These limitations are subject to the Australian Consumer Law.
13. Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with the HUSL Consumer Privacy Policy as updated from time to time. The Privacy Policy includes specific information about AI-enabled features, images, data retention, overseas processing and AI service providers.
14. General
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will apply from the date stated or, where required, after reasonable notice. If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, it is severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions continue. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.
Before commencing court proceedings about a dispute, each party should first attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute directly, except where urgent interlocutory relief is sought or the requirement is otherwise inappropriate or unlawful. These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the parties submit to the courts of New South Wales and courts entitled to hear appeals from them, subject to any mandatory consumer law rights.
