A clamp-style curling iron with a 32mm barrel, from EVY Professional's tong range. The difference is length: at 192mm the barrel is longer than a standard tong, so you can load a bigger section and take an even curl from root area to ends in one pass instead of two.

How to use it

Three ways, depending on the finish. Clamp and roll for a defined, uniform curl. Twist the section around the barrel with the clamp closed at the end for a looser wave. Or wrap it around the barrel without clamping, holding the ends, for a soft bend with no crease. Let each curl cool in your hand before you drop it β€” the cooling is what sets the shape.

Long and thick hair and extensions, where the extra barrel length saves the most time. It will handle shorter hair, but on a bob a 192mm barrel is more tool than the section needs. Adjustable temperature control lets you bring the heat down for fine or lightened hair β€” start low and work up.

RECOMMENDED TEMPERATURE GUIDE FOR OPTIMAL RESULTS

  • Fine or damaged hair: 140 - 160Β°C
  • Normal healthy hair: 180-200Β°C
  • Strong resistant hair: 210-220Β°C

STYLING TIPS

1. Wash and dry your hair and ensure it is tangle free.

2. Plug in the E-Curl XL and press the power button for 5 seconds, the LED light will illuminate to a preset temperature of 180 degrees.

3. Temperature will lock at 180 Degrees on start up. To change temperature, press the power button for 3 seconds to release the lock and adjust to desired temperature.

4. Take a section approximately 2 x 1 inches or desired thickness to achieve desired intensity of curl.

5. Open the clamp and slide the hair down as you slowly close the clamp to tuck in your ends.

6. Using the heatproof glove rotate the curler to wrap the remaining hair around the barrel.

7. Hold this position for 10 – 20 seconds or until the desired result is achieved.

8. Open the clamp and slowly release the hair from the barrel.

9. Continue with next section rotating in an alternating direction toward or away from the face for a more natural look.

10. As our clamp has a unique tapered edge you are also able to wrap the hair around the entire barrel without using the clamp.

11. Apply 5–10 drops to palms and work through mid-lengths and ends. Use on wet or dry hair. For ultra-smooth, high-shine results, apply after Tame Smoothing Cream or layerover your Thermal Spray as a finishing serum.

12. Shake and style out as desired.
