Floractive Strawberry & Whipped Cream Mask 250g

The weekly deep-conditioning step of Floractive's Strawberry & Whipped Cream range, for hair dried out by colour, bleach or heat and dulled with it. It is the richest product in the range — where the conditioner maintains, this one resets.

What's in it

• Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii) — the rich emollient giving the mask its body and its coating feel on dry ends.
• Linseed seed oil (Linum usitatissimum) — a softening oil the matching conditioner does not carry, and much of why the mask feels more substantial.
• Wild strawberry fruit extract (Fragaria vesca) — the fruit extract the range is named for.
• Panthenol and glycerin — humectants holding water in the fibre so it stays flexible rather than brittle.
• Cyclopentasiloxane — a light silicone for slip and a polished finish.

Worth knowing

Five minutes on mid-lengths and ends, once or twice a week depending on how dry the hair is. Keep it off the scalp: on fine hair the shea and oil base will flatten lift if it goes too high. It is fragranced, in keeping with the name, so it is not the pick if you avoid parfum.
