The everyday conditioning step of the Strawberry & Whipped Cream range, for brittle, dull or lifeless hair needing softness after every wash rather than a heavy weekly treatment. It is built lighter than the matching mask on purpose, so it can go in daily without dragging the hair down.

What's in it

• Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii) — the emollient softening the feel of brittle lengths.
• Wild strawberry fruit extract (Fragaria vesca) — the fruit extract the range takes its name from.
• Panthenol and glycerin — humectants holding water in the fibre, which is what keeps a dry strand flexible instead of snapping.
• Cetyl alcohol and cetrimonium chloride — the conditioning pair doing the detangling and slip.
• Cyclopentasiloxane — a light silicone for a smooth, glossy finish.

Worth knowing

Two to three minutes on mid-lengths and ends. The clearest difference from the mask is the oil load: the mask adds linseed oil and a heavier emollient base, so the sensible pattern is this conditioner after most washes and the mask once a week in its place. Rinse thoroughly — under-rinsing is what makes fine hair read as weighed down.
