The cleansing step of Floractive's Strawberry & Whipped Cream range, for dry, dull or chemically treated hair that cannot afford a stripping wash. A nourishing daily shampoo, formulated to clear buildup while leaving enough conditioning behind that the lengths do not come out squeaking.

What's in it

• Wild strawberry fruit extract (Fragaria vesca) — the fruit extract the range is named for.
• Linseed oil (Linum usitatissimum) — a softening oil carried through the wash, aimed at dry, dulled lengths.
• Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii) — a rich emollient offsetting the drying effect cleansing has on porous, colour-treated hair.

How to use it

Work it into the scalp first and let the lather do the lengths as you rinse — the ends of coloured hair are the oldest, most porous part and rarely need direct scrubbing. Repeat only if the first lather does not build, which usually means buildup. Follow with the matching Nutrition Conditioner, or the mask once a week.

Who it's for

Dry, dull or colour-treated hair wanting gentle daily cleansing. If your scalp runs very oily and you need a clarifying wash, this is the wrong end of the range — it nourishes rather than strips.
