A finishing oil made specifically for lightened hair, from warm honey through to icy platinum. Bleaching leaves the cuticle raised and light-scattering, which is why blonde can look flat rather than bright — this is a shine step aimed squarely at that problem.

The actives

• Monoi oil and tamanu oil — two rich Polynesian oils that smooth frizz and settle flyaways, giving the surface something even for light to reflect off.
• Arginine — an amino acid used through the Blonde Life range to reinforce lightened strands and reduce breakage at the comb.
• SmartRelease™ Technology — Joico's gradual-release system carrying rosehip oil, arginine and keratin.

How to use it

One to two pumps through mid-lengths and ends, on damp hair before styling or dry hair as a finish. Damp application spreads further and reads as conditioning; dry application sits on the surface and reads as shine. Keep it off the roots — oil at the scalp only makes fine blonde look greasy.

Worth knowing

It will not stain even the palest shades, the usual worry with an oil on platinum. It is a finishing product, not a toner: it polishes, but it will not shift a brassy tone.
