Joico Body Shake 250ml

A texturising finisher rather than a hairspray, and a dry-hair product rather than a wet one. It goes on after the blow-dry to put body back in, not at the roots beforehand to build it — which makes it the fix for hair that dropped an hour after you styled it.

What's in it

• Rice starch — a very fine natural polymer suspended in the spray. It is what creates the grip and the fullness without a wet or sticky feel.
• High-performance copolymer — dries clear and flexible, so the shape holds but the hair still moves.
• Stainless-steel ball — sits in the can to keep powder and liquid mixed. Shake it properly or you get one without the other.

How to use it

Shake well, then spray into dry, finished hair. Build it in light passes rather than one heavy one, concentrating on the roots and mid-lengths where you want the lift, then break it up with your fingers.

Who it's for

Joico positions it for fine to medium hair, which is where a light powder-spray texturiser does the most work. Paraben-free.
