Joico Heat Hero 180ml

Heat Hero is a fine-mist thermal protectant for anyone who blow-dries, straightens or curls regularly. Being a spray rather than a cream, it layers under other stylers without adding weight — useful if you already run a mousse or a smoothing balm and do not want a third heavy product in the mix.

The actives

• Heat-deflecting polymers — form the barrier that sits between the hot tool and the cuticle.
• Moringa seed oil — conditions the surface so hair reads glossy rather than dry after styling.
• Tamanu oil — a richer oil that helps keep mid-lengths supple through repeated styling.

How to use it

Mist evenly over dry hair before you pick up a tool. It works on contact, so there is no waiting time, and it is rated for tools up to 232°C. A light second pass after styling adds shine and a touch of hold.

Worth knowing

It is a protectant, not a treatment: it reduces the stress of heat styling rather than repairing damage already done. Used consistently it also helps hair hold its shine against dulling environmental residue, and helps limit the look of split ends.
