What's in it

• Plant-based surfactants — the cleansing base, mild enough for facial skin and beard hair.

• Sugar beet betaine — a humectant that draws moisture into skin and hair and holds it there.
• A lipid complex — replaces some of the oils a wash takes away.

How to use it

Onto wet hair, beard and skin. Lather briefly and rinse with plenty of warm water. Beard hair is coarser than the hair on your head and sits directly on skin, so work the lather in with your fingertips and rinse it right through to the skin underneath.

Worth knowing

It is a wash rather than a treatment. On longer hair or a long beard, follow with a conditioner or a beard oil. The single-bottle format is what makes it a gym-bag and carry-on staple.
