A 75ml cream-gel exfoliant from Methode Clarifiante, La Biosthetique's range for oily and blemish-prone skin. It is the step between cleansing and treating, for skin that has started to look dull and feel rough across the T-zone.

What's in it

• Bamboo micro-particles — the physical exfoliant. They are rounded rather than sharp-edged, which is what lets the scrub lift dead surface cells without scratching.
• Clarifying essential oils — purify the skin and leave light moisture behind, so it does not finish tight.

Where it fits

After cleansing and before any mask, serum or moisturiser. Used as a targeted treatment on the T-zone or chin it can go on more often than a full-face pass. Keep it away from broken or irritated skin.

Who it's for

Normal to oily skin, and congestion-prone areas in particular. Worth noting that it is described as a gentle daily exfoliant while sitting in a range built for oily, blemished skin — if your skin runs dry or reactive, start at two or three times a week rather than daily. Paraben free, gluten free and vegan.
