A 200 ml styling foam from La Biosthétique's Styling range, made to go into damp hair before the dryer rather than onto dry hair afterwards. It is a base product, not a finisher — the step that sets up how the blow-dry behaves, which is where most of a style is actually decided.

The actives

• Kalo nut and rapeseed oil polymer — a plant-derived pair that smooths the hair surface and carries the heat-protection work.
• Wheat proteins — penetrate the hair to reinforce the fibre from within.
• Provitamin B5 — helps hair hold moisture and cuts down knotting and tangling as you dry.

How to use it

Shake well, dispense a small amount, and distribute it through damp hair from roots to ends before blow-drying or heat styling. It is a base rather than a fixative, so a laque, paste or cream can still go over the top once the hair is dry.

Worth knowing

The formula is vegan and silicone-free, with 80% naturally derived ingredients. La Biosthétique publishes no hold number for this one, and that is consistent with what it is — a definition-and-shine mousse rather than a structural one. If you want firm hold, build it with a separate product rather than over-applying this.
