Microtexx Strengthening Milk 375ml

The home-sized bottle of the Strengthening conditioning milk — the rinse-out step for hair that has gone weak and brittle from bleaching, perming or a long run of colour. Same formula as the litre, in a size that lasts a few months on mid-length hair.

The actives

• Creatine and panthenol — the conditioning core, directed at fibres left porous by chemical processing.
• Jojoba oil and olive leaf extract — emollients for softness and enough slip that wet combing does not tug.
• Australian native extracts — Kakadu plum, quandong, desert lime, lilly pilly and wattleseed.
• Behentrimonium chloride and quaternium-80 — positively charged agents attracted to the damaged, negatively charged parts of the cuticle, so they land where the hair is worst.

How to use it

After cleansing, work it through the mid-lengths and ends, leave it one to two minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use it after any shampoo — it does not need the matching cleanser to work, though the two are designed as a pair.

Worth knowing

The preservative system includes methylchloroisothiazolinone and methylisothiazolinone, worth checking if you know you react to those.
