A leave-in detangler earns its keep in the five minutes after the shower, when wet hair is at its most fragile and a comb dragged through a knot does real damage. This one is a light mist rather than a cream: enough slip to get a comb moving, not enough weight to flatten a blow-dry.

What's in it

• Amodimethicone — a conditioning silicone that deposits where the cuticle is roughest, which is where knots form.
• Macadamia seed oil and certified organic coconut oil — the O&M signature oil blend, for softness and gloss.
• Panthenol and glycerin — humectants that hold moisture in the strand.
• Cetrimonium chloride — a conditioning agent that helps the comb move.
• Quandong, desert lime and wattle seed fruit extracts — native Australian fruit extracts.

How to use it

Mist damp hair evenly, then comb from the ends upward in short sections. Working ends-first breaks a knot apart instead of dragging it into a tighter one. Don't rinse. It can also be misted onto dry hair between washes to smooth and re-detangle.
