O&M PS Balm 100g

PS Balm is a smoothing, heat-protective styling balm — the one you reach for before a blow-dry when you want the finish sleek rather than fluffy, and again afterwards to settle whatever the brush missed.

What's in it

• Camelina sativa seed oil — the lightweight oil behind the balm's softness.
• Cyclopentasiloxane and dimethiconol — smoothing silicones that flatten the cuticle and carry shine.
• Hydrolysed vegetable protein — plant protein fragments that add substance to the hair shaft.
• Macadamia seed oil — a native Australian oil, doing most of the gloss.
• Sweet almond oil and certified organic coconut oil — the supporting conditioning agents.

How to use it

On damp hair before blow-drying it smooths as the hair dries. On dry hair, a very small amount rubbed between the palms and pressed over the surface settles flyaways and refines a finished style. Either way, start with less than feels right and build: the balm is rich, and overdoing it shows up as weight rather than shine.

Worth knowing

It gives light, flexible control rather than hold, so it is a finishing product more than a styling one. Fine hair isn't ruled out, but the dose has to be small. Also sold as Project Sukuroi, on the same formula.
