Single-use hydrogel pads for the under-eye area, from La Biosthétique's Dermosthétique AGE 3 skincare. They sit almost invisibly on the skin and hold cool against it, which is why people reach for them before an event or after a short night rather than as a daily habit.

What's in it

• Hyaluronic acid and glucomannan — hold water against the skin while the pad is on.
• Ceramides — support the skin's own barrier in an area where it is thin.
• Panthenol and ectoine — soothing, moisture-binding ingredients.
• Niacinamide — a well-established ingredient for evenness and comfort.

How to use it

Apply to a cleansed eye area and leave on for 15 to 30 minutes, two to three times a week. Both sides of each pad can be used, and they can be placed on other areas that crease — around the mouth, or across the forehead. Remove and follow with your usual eye cream.

Worth knowing

Ten pads per pack. Best kept in the fridge if you want the cooling effect stronger. Not a substitute for sleep, and the effect is temporary and cosmetic.
