LA BIOSTHETIQUE Pencil For Eyes Khol Silk

Pencil for Eyes is La Biosthétique's soft kohl-style eye pencil, filled with 1.06 g of colour. Khol Silk is the near-black of the family — the workhorse shade. The formula is soft enough that La Biosthétique directs it at the inside edge of the eye as well as the lash line, which is not true of every pencil.

What's in it

• Plant waxes — the soft base that lets the pencil lay down a clean line rather than skipping.
• Ultra-fine pigments — milled small enough to sit neatly along the lash line.
• Natural mineral shine pigment — gives the finish its low, silky light instead of a flat matte.

How to use it

Draw gently along the inside edge of the eye, or along the bottom and/or top lash line. The other end of the pencil carries a small sponge, which is there to soften the line you have just drawn or to blend a powder eyeshadow over the top.

Worth knowing

The concentrate is 90% natural origin and the formula is silicone-free. Khol Silk sits alongside Midnight Silk, Marble Silk, Forest Silk and Violet Silk in the current line-up, so it is the everyday neutral of the set rather than a colour statement. Waterline wear is shorter than lash-line wear on any soft pencil.
