The wash step of La Biosthétique's Frizz Control routine, 250ml. Frizz is a surface problem — a cuticle that will not lie flat lets water move in and out unevenly — so the shampoo's job is to clean without roughening that surface further.

The actives

• Sweet almond oil — conditions during the wash, for softness and shine.
• Cationic cellulose — a positively charged polymer that evens out structural differences and cuts static.
• Cationic guar — works the same way, and is what improves combability out of the shower.
• Moisture-binding substances — hold water in the hair so it responds less to humidity.
• Vegan, and free from silicones, parabens, gluten and palm oil.

Who it's for

Hair that goes fluffy in humidity, flies away in dry weather, or both — most often mid-length to long hair with some colour or heat history. It is built as a mild cleanser rather than a clarifying one.

Worth knowing

Shampoo alone will not finish the job. La Biosthétique designs Frizz Control as three steps, with the Smoothing Conditioner after every second or third wash and the Smoothing Styling Fluid through damp hair before styling. With no silicones in the formula, the effect is cumulative rather than instant.
