A 200ml aerosol from the Style Finish range — a texturising powder you spray rather than shake out, so it lands evenly down the lengths as well as at the roots. It is the finishing step for grippy, undone styles.

What's in it

  • Starch compound — provides the matte effect and a non-slip hold, and takes up oil as it goes.
  • Silica — adds to the mattifying effect and the grip.

How to use it

Shake well. Hold the can 20 to 30cm from dry hair, target the roots and any lengths that need grip, then shape with your fingers. Build it in passes rather than soaking one spot.

Worth knowing

The hold is light and grippy — this is a texture and finish product, not a fixing spray. On dark hair the mattifying effect can be briefly visible before it settles, so spray from the full distance and work it in. Silicone-free. If you want the same effect in a loose powder you can place precisely at the roots, that is the Instant Volumising Powder.
