A pump spray with no aerosol propellant, made to go into towel-dried hair before blow-drying. La Biosthétique rates the hold at 3 out of 5: enough grip to hold the shape you dry in, loose enough that the hair still brushes through and moves.

What's in it

• Provitamin B5 (panthenol) — strengthens and moisturises, protecting against dehydration.
• Hydrolysed wheat protein — strengthens the hair fibre and helps protect against structural damage.
• Cationic starch — antistatic, and the reason the hair combs out smoothly rather than knotting.

How to use it

Spray evenly into towel-dried hair, work it in gently with your fingers, then blow-dry and style. Concentrate it at the roots if lift is what you are after; take it through the lengths for overall body.
