O&M Conquer Blonde Shampoo 250ml

A toning shampoo for blonde, silver and grey hair — the maintenance wash between salon visits that holds the tone where your colourist left it. It deposits a small amount of violet pigment as it cleanses, countering the yellow that lightened hair drifts towards.

How it works

Violet sits opposite yellow on the colour wheel, so a violet deposit neutralises brassiness rather than covering it. It is a toner, not a colour service — it corrects tone, but will not lighten hair or change its level.

What's in it

• Acid Violet 43 — the toning pigment.
• Cocamidopropyl betaine, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate and lauryl glucoside — a mild, sulfate-free cleansing base, so it is safe over salon colour.
• Macadamia seed oil, aloe leaf juice and hydrolysed jojoba esters — conditioning agents that offset the dryness toning shampoos are known for.
• Quandong, desert lime and wattleseed extracts — Australian native botanicals.

Worth knowing

Leave it one to three minutes depending on how much correction you want, and start at the short end — porous or freshly lightened hair grabs pigment fast and can go visibly lilac. Once or twice a week is enough; alternating with a non-toning shampoo stops the tone drifting too cool.
