O&M Rootalicious Root Lift 300ml

Root lift is a blow-dry problem as much as a product one, because hair falls flat when it dries in the direction gravity puts it. A root spray works by coating the first few centimetres of the strand with a film that sets while you lift, so the shape holds after the dryer goes off.

What's in it

• VP/VA copolymer — the film-former that sets the root in its lifted position.
• Hydrolysed rice protein — protein fragments that add body to the strand itself.
• Panthenol — moisture and thickness in one.
• Quandong and lilly pilly fruit extracts — native Australian fruit extracts.

How to use it

Shake, then spray directly onto damp roots section by section; spreading it through the lengths wastes product and adds weight where you don't want it. Heat is what activates it, so blow-dry at the crown with a round brush or your fingers, lifting against the direction of growth. Let each section cool before you release it — that cooling is when the shape actually sets.

Who it's for

Fine or flat hair that loses volume within an hour of drying. It sets the roots without stiffening the lengths, which stay soft and touchable. The lift is at the root only, so heavy lengths will still pull a shape down.
